You learn to greet people, introduce yourself, spell your name, count to 100, talk about your family, job, country and languages, tell the time, and order in a Viennese café. By the end you can hold your first simple conversations and understand everyday Austrian German around you.
After this course you can…
- Can greet people and say goodbye formally and informally (including Austrian Grüß Gott and Servus).
- Can introduce themselves and others and give personal information (name, origin, address, languages, job).
- Can spell names aloud and understand spelled words, telephone numbers and prices.
- Can ask and answer simple W-questions and yes/no questions about familiar topics.
- Can use the present tense of sein, haben and regular verbs in statements and questions.
- Can name days, months and clock times and order food and drink in a café.
