In this level you complete the full A2 curriculum. You learn to make polite requests and give advice with Konjunktiv II, describe people and things with correct adjective endings, tell stories about your past in the Präteritum, talk about your future plans, and handle real Austrian situations: the doctor’s office, job applications, the bank, the post office and the Amt. After the final quiz you are ready for an official A2 exam (Goethe/ÖSD).
After this course you can…
- Can describe symptoms, make a doctor’s appointment and understand instructions at the pharmacy.
- Can describe people’s appearance, character and feelings using correctly declined adjectives.
- Can compare city and countryside life and talk about weather and the environment.
- Can narrate past events and a simple biography using the Präteritum and als/wenn clauses.
- Can talk about future plans, write a simple CV and a short job application.
- Can deal with everyday bureaucracy in Austria: bank, post office, Amt, forms and appointments.
- Can make polite requests, express wishes and give advice (Konjunktiv II).
- Can ask indirect questions and use relative clauses to describe people and things.
